Sat March 16th, 5 PM – Join Overlook Mountain Center & the Historical Society of Woodstock, at the Woodstock Community Center, for a workshop titled “Let the Landscape Speak”, on identifying and protecting indigenous ceremonial stone landscapes in our community.  Doug Harris, Deputy Tribal Historic Preservation Officer for the Narragansett Tribal Historic Preservation Office, in Connecticut, will lead a workshop explaining and illustrating how these important resources of cultural significance are routinely misidentified and threatened by developers and how we, as citizens, can become part of the process to protect and preserve these precious sites and the important lessons and messages they hold.
